Experience in psychology, education, social work, or child development is helpful but not always required.

Behavioral Intervention Specialist Requirements

The following are requirements for the Behavioral Intervention Specialist position:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services field such as psychology, sociology, social work, child development, education, or Marriage and Family Studies, or currently enrolled and within one year of graduating
  • Ability to pass a clean background check
  • Reliable transportation that can be used for transporting clients under 18
  • Current driver’s license
  • Ability to complete the RBT course and CPR certification
  • Ability to keep up with the activity level of children ages 3–17
